Employers embrace flexible working patternsPeople in payroll, administration and office jobs could soon be able to adopt more flexible working patterns, experts have suggested.

According to accountancy firm KPMG, a growing number of employers are looking at allowing their staff to work flexibly.

Keith Dugdale, director of global recruitment at the company, described them as highly "forward-thinking" companies.

Speaking to BBC News, he commented: "We would use much more creative ways of working, offering different types of contracts."

This could help to address what Mr Dugdale described as one of the biggest challenges faced by recruiters today - getting the best individuals where they are most urgently needed.

Search engine giant Google added that even the biggest companies are adopting new methods in order to attract the most talented workers.

Luke McKend, head of recruitment, commented: "One of the key things people look for is innovation."

This comes after Conservative leader David Cameron pledged to introduce more flexible working opportunities should his party win the upcoming general election.
