Recruitment activity in the City of London and other parts of the capital could be set to increase after a study found that many are thinking of changing their jobs.
According to research by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), about one in three employees are considering moving into a new position because they do not feel valued at work.
Michael Rendell, spokesman for PwC, said this demonstrates the importance of effective people management in the workplace, as those firms which value their staff are most likely to perform strongly.
"The winners and losers of the war for talent are starting to reveal themselves," he commented.
Mr Rendell said those companies which retained their focus on investment and employee engagement during the recession are "emerging as clear leaders".
This comes amid predictions from Goldman Sachs that the British economy will experience positive growth this year, which could bode well for the creation of new office and administration jobs in London.
