More vacancies for administration, sales and office jobs could be set to appear over the next few weeks, experts have suggested.According to the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD), many people are keen to look for a new job now that the new year has arrived. Rebecca Clake, spokeswoman for the group, said this could be one of the priorities people have set themselves for 2010. Speaking to BBC News, she suggested that now could be the ideal time to look for an alternative position. "More companies will probably be advertising jobs in the new year," Ms Clake said. This comes after temporary workers who undertook office jobs and other roles over the festive season were praised by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). According to the organisation, many employees downed tools to make the most of the Christmas and new year period. However, the REC noted that many key workers and managers had to keep working over the holiday season to ensure vital services remained operational.
