Jobs market 'is getting better'People aged 40 or over who are looking for telesales or sales management jobs in London could be able to benefit from improving conditions in the jobs market.

According to Phil Flaxton of Work Wise UK, optimism among many recruiters in the UK is currently on the up.

Indeed, even those who believe that there is a long way to go until the British economy picks up now feel as if the country is turning a corner.

"If we look back to this time last year, when the recession had really only been on for about six months, there was a lot of despondency and gloom about," Mr Flaxton commented.

He added that there are lots of areas in which the UK excels and leads the world.

This, he stated, means there is a lot of reason to feel optimistic about the prospect of a recovery.

However, Mr Flaxton insisted that any upturn in the economy is likely to be slow and fragile, as the entire world has been affected by the global recession.

The comments come after official figures revealed that the last quarterly increase in unemployment was the smallest since spring 2008.
