People with university degrees who are looking for office jobs in the West End of London could be able to find more suitable vacancies.
According to Graduate Prospects, the number of advertisements for graduate jobs has gone up significantly in the last year.
This, it said, was apparent in the number of vacancies being displayed last month, as December is traditionally a quiet month for the jobs market.
Mike Hill, chief executive of Graduate Prospects, said: "We are having definite signs of what we might call green shoots."
However, he added that it is hard to say whether the existing state of affairs will continue over the coming months.
Mr Hill said this is because there is lots of uncertainty about whether the UK will experience a double dip recession.
Recent figures from the Office for National Statistics have also suggested that conditions in the jobs market are improving, as the most recent quarterly increase in unemployment was the smallest since early 2008.
