Britons aged 40-plus who are looking for office jobs in London could benefit from a government effort to drive further economic growth.
Official figures released today show that the UK economy is now out of recession, as growth of 0.1 per cent was recorded between October and December 2009.
Chancellor of the exchequer Alistair Darling has welcomed this development, but insisted that the government needs to continue supporting the economy.
This, he said, would strengthen the recovery and help to promote future growth and the creation of more jobs.
Mr Darling commented: "There is still I think more to be done in this country.
"There will be further bumps along the road."
However, he said he is confident that Britain will see further economic growth if the government continues with its current strategy.
Mr Darling stated that this includes carrying on with its efforts to support businesses and families at a time when confidence is returning.
