Residents in the south-east of England may be in line to benefit from the creation of new office jobs by a leading computer software developer.
According to a report from game design news and information resource Develop, Codemasters is in line to begin a recruitment drive as it looks to add new office jobs to its workforce in Guildford.
A spokesman for the company described the south-east facility as being "key" to its overall development strategy and revealed that it has opened "further positions" across a range of roles - including design and programming.
"Our Guildford facility offers great potential for development talent based in the south-east who want to join a growing studio and work on original titles," the source added.
Codemasters is one of the most successful games development firms in the UK, having released titles including the Colin McRae series and Brian Lara International Cricket.
It has also designed the likes of Operation Flashpoint and is set to launch Jumpgate Evolution for the PC later this year.
