 People looking for 40-plus jobs in the City of London should expect to see a gradual increase in business confidence.According to the Institute for Public Policy Research (ippr), the UK economy is already getting back to normality. However, it said part of the country's economic strength would depend on the level of confidence in the business sector. Tony Dolphin, senior economist at the ippr, said: "It is a slow process for businesses to get their confidence back, but they will." He predicted that within the next few years, the UK economy should look "recognisable" once again. Indeed, Mr Dolphin said that by 2015, the economy will probably be back to where it might have been had the recession not happened. The comments came after a report by BDO LLP encouraged firms to transform themselves over the next five years and prepare for the opportunities an economic recovery could bring.
