It may be becoming easier for people to find permanent vacancies for administration jobs in the City of London.According to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation's (REC's) monthly Report on Jobs study, growth in the number of permanent placements in the UK accelerated in February 2010, reaching the highest level since July 2007. It means that demand for staff - such as those looking for administration jobs - has now increased for five successive months. The number of available temporary positions also rose in February, although this growth was at a slower rate than had been seen during the previous three months. Chief executive of the REC Kevin Green said that there had been "significant increases in demand" for people in administration jobs and other back-office support roles. In last month's report, Mr Green added that the recovery of the labour market must not be derailed by increasing tax and regulation on businesses. "The labour market is out of intensive care but it is still in a fragile state," he commented. Posted by Mary King
