Simon Cowell is the celebrity most workers would like to see head up their human resources (HR) department, a new survey has revealed.A poll of 1,386 staff in the UK, conducted by Hire Scores, shows that 82 per cent of people believe the entertainment mogul would make the best celebrity HR director due to his ruthless streak when it comes to hiring and firing. The survey asked workers to select their office dream team and Lord Sugar was a popular choice as chief executive officer, with 68 per cent saying he would be their choice as the imaginary firm's boss. A further 68 per cent reckoned that Sir Alex Ferguson would work well alongside Cowell and Sugar as managing director, while Bill Gates was the most popular candidate for IT manager. Lisette Howlett, managing director of Hire Scores, said: "Our fictional office would no doubt be a fantastic place to work - though there may be a few too many egos floating around."
