FSB: Many small businesses unhappy with banksNew research released today (June 14th) shows a quarter of small businesses in the UK are unhappy with the level of support offered to them by their banks over the last year.

According to a Federation of Small Businesses (FSB)/ICM survey of over 1,300 members of the FSB, there is relatively widespread dissatisfaction with the way in which high street financiers have aided them throughout the duration of the recession.

The level of discontent among bosses grows in line with the number of business managers controlling their accounts over the last two years.

For example, the unhappiness rating for those who have had one manager stands at 13 per cent, while some 70 per cent of companies with five managers over the same period expressed displeasure.

Meanwhile, the FSB recently backed governmental proposals to reduce the amount of legislative red tape it says has restricted small business growth in the UK over the course of the global economic downturn.
