A new report has found that Britain's reward professionals are more confident about the forthcoming 12 months as the country continues its recovery from the global economic downturn. According to the Thomsons Online Benefits survey, nearly half of the professionals questioned - 43 per cent - predicted that the period between now and June 2011 will involve their businesses growing. Furthermore, 48 per cent of respondents said that they now felt more confident and optimistic about their firm's future as Britain emerges from the recession, despite ongoing concerns about factors such as the eurozone fiscal crisis. Meanwhile, employers remain divided over the perceived advantages of the new Financial Services Authority's Code of Practice, which is intended to help companies attract and retain top talent. Some 34 per cent of respondents said that they would amend their pay and bonus arrangements based on the new code, while a further 32 per cent indicated they were not planning any changes.
