Interim and office manager jobs may soon focus on efficiency PDF Print E-mail
Interim and office manager jobs may soon focus on efficiencyInterim management jobs may soon be required to focus heavily on efficiency improvement and redundancy following the measures unveiled by chancellor George Osborne in the recent emergency Budget.

This is according to David Harries, director of the IMA Institute, who said these roles - including office manager jobs or part-time manager jobs - will move away from day-to-day business to "transformation-type" positions.

And one of the main reasons for this is because of forthcoming public sector cuts in spending that will inevitably lead to redundancies, Mr Harries added.

"There is going to be an increased if not urgent need for interim managers. If you think about redundancies - when you actually get rid of the people - who is left to run the business?"

Not only will companies need to get their everyday operations completed, but undergo "massive" efficiency strategies, Mr Harries concluded.

Other Budget measures set to affect the country is a rise in VAT, which will begin from January 4th 2011.
