Unemployment proposals welcomed by Work WiseWork Wise UK - a not-for-profit organisation designed to further the UK's economy by improving industry practices - has welcomed government suggestions that unemployed people should be relocated from jobless black spots.

According to chief executive Phil Flaxton, such a move could potentially increase their self esteem by helping them to support both themselves and their families through the securing of positions such as account managers and sales recruitment specialists.

However, although it was observed that this would boost the economy and is "a very sound move" overall, Mr Flaxton continued, stating that it could possibly be hard to push through as transferring to different areas may not result in employment at all.

What's more, people may have ties such as ageing parents, which means they are unable or unprepared to leave their current residence.

Mr Flaxton was commenting in response to Iain Duncan Smith's remarks in the Sunday Telegraph that ministers are planning on encouraging jobless individuals to seriously consider this as a solution.
