A company's decision to locate a new call centre on the south coast will create hundreds of new full-time, part-time, permanent and temporary telesales jobs. The Saga Group is moving to the East Sussex seaside resort of Hastings, with 800 people set to work at its new branch. Bosses at the organisation have already spoken of hopes to attract the town's most-talented workers to its complex at One Priory Square. The development is a "giant step forwards" for Hastings, John Shaw, project director at Sea Space, which helped bring Saga to East Sussex, told local newspaper The Argus. It is the latest piece of good news for the jobs market in the county, after the publication recently revealed about 2,000 Christmas positions will soon be filled, while other people will be selected to work on next year's census. It has been noted this week that approximately 35,000 roles will be created by the population study across England and Wales. Posted by Mary King
