People in roles such as accountancy jobs and finance jobs in London may benefit from a pay rise in the near future, if the results of a new survey are to be believed.According to XpertHR's yearly study on pay trends and prospects in the private sector, many employers are displaying signs of increased levels of confidence following the global economic downturn, with directors predicting wage rises of two per cent next year. This represents a hike on the 1.2 per cent estimation given for 2010, while organisations are also more positive with regards to the possibility of pay freezes, with 9.2 per cent of salaries expected to remain the same in 2011 in comparison to 30.6 per cent this year, Personnel Today reports. Meanwhile, XpertHR also found that the majority - 80 per cent - of companies use the retail prices index as their measure for setting pay structures. Posted by Daniel Frost
