People looking for finance jobs in London may be successful over the coming weeks, despite the economic downturn.According to a new study released by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), 22 per cent of managers are looking to increase the amount of temps on their books over the next three months. REC director of research Roger Tweedy said it is a good way of ensuring work gets done at a busy time, but it could lead to permanent appointments for those who take on part-time roles. "The upward trend in both short and long-term use of temporary staff confirms that employers view flexible resourcing options as the best way of gearing themselves up for economic growth," he added. Indeed, Phil Flaxton, chief executive of Work Wise, recently predicted that there will not be a dramatic rise in the number of people not in permanent jobs over the course of the next year, despite rumours of a double-dip recession.
