People in office-based roles such as finance jobs in London are now more likely than ever to think about changing the direction of their career. That is according to Rachel Krys, campaign director at the Employers Forum on Age, who believes that the growing length of people's working lives is contributing to more people opting for a different path at some point. "The reality is we're all going to have to work for longer and we're probably going to need to have two or three 'careers', as it were, in our lifetime," she observed. Ms Krys was speaking following the publication of data by LV=, which revealed that 2.7 million people across the country over the age of 50 expect to still be in a job after they have passed the state retirement age. "Employers are going to be faced with many more people in their fifties who are not looking to wind down," the expert added. Posted by Daniel Frost
