People looking for opportunities to move into office-based roles such as finance jobs in London in the near future may benefit from increased levels of pay. That is if comments made by Dave Fleming, sales director at Badenoch & Clark, are anything to go by, as he has said that salary prospects are good for anyone seeking work in the private sector in the first half of the year. Mr Fleming explained that starting wages are likely to rise in the coming months as organisations battle it out for the best candidates available in the aftermath of the global economic downturn. "We are starting to see more companies counter offer, increasing salaries as the war for talent heats up," he noted. This comes after the Recruitment and Employment Confederation and KPMG produced a report recently which showed that average rates of pay for permanent members of staff continued to rise in January of this year.
