People searching for opportunities in accountancy jobs in the City of London and throughout the rest of the country should make sure they will be offered adequate help and assistance from their new employer prior to accepting an offer. That is the view of Rob Alder, business development manager at the Association of Accounting Technicians, who believes that anybody looking to get into this sector must try to find "a position that offers training as part of the package". Mr Alder noted this is because it is "fundamental to get an accountancy qualification under your belt", as this displays a candidate's "commitment to the profession and that you have the right skills to do the job". He went on to explain that in general, "the same rules apply when looking for an accountancy role" as any other job, meaning that measures such as proofreading a CV remain vital. This comes after Rachel Krys of Inclusive Employers said recently that more employees are now opting to stay in their jobs longer. Posted by Mary King
