Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) offering office-based roles such as finance jobs in London should form a major focus of the government's latest budget, an expert believes.Chancellor George Osborne is scheduled to make his budget statement to MPs gathered at the House of Commons later today (March 22nd 2011) and Martin Lyne, director of SMEs at T-Mobile, has called on the official to recognise the needs of smaller companies in order to help boost the whole economy. Mr Lyne explained that such businesses are in desperate need of a reduction in the amount of legislative red tape they face, but also noted that it would not just be these firms that benefitted from this development. He stated that the UK would see its position in the "global market" be strengthened as SMEs are in a position to boost employment rates with a little help from the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition.
