An increasing number of organisations offering roles such as finance jobs in London are beginning to recognise the desire of many members of staff to work later into life, an expert has said.According to Rachel Krys, director of Inclusive Employers, more companies are responding in a positive manner to their workers' wishes, with many experienced employees also now wanting to incorporate flexible working practices into their routines after passing retirement age. "Many more people are now saying, 'actually I'm not ready to leave - I wouldn't mind working part time, I wouldn't mind working a bit differently or having a bit more flexibility'," she noted. Ms Krys went on to say that this is mutually beneficial to both the individuals and firms. Yesterday (March 30th 2011), Prudential published research which showed that more than a third -35 per cent - of people planning to retire in the UK this year will do so with incomes below the poverty line.
