Successful managers 'not afraid to delegate' Successful managers are not afraid to delegate significant tasks in their companies to individuals such as experienced sales staff.

That is the opinion of Ashley Ward, director of European Leaders, who feels that the best bosses are those that will relinquish a proportion of their important responsibilities to their employees in order to get the best from their workers.

Mr Ward explained the best 21st century business officials will "try to surround themselves with people who are better than them" to improve their organisation, instead of taking on too much and trying to control everything themselves.

He noted this method of operating is known as "liberation leadership" and insisted it is a "good thing" to be able to trust those in office jobs with vital tasks in the present, as this allows managers to create plans for the future.

Research published by European Leaders last week (June 8th) found that 64 per cent of Britain's workforce believes they could and would work much more efficiently with more motivation from their boss.
