Candidates applying for sales recruitment positions in the City of London and elsewhere in the UK must make sure they support any claims they make on their CV with firm evidence. That is according to Peter Panayotou, founder and senior consultant at The Write Stuff, who has said it is vital that applicants for all office jobs provide solid background information to indicate the skills and experience they have acquired during their career. Mr Panayotou explained it "can be a problem" for prospective employers when individuals include various abilities on their CV but then fail to back this up with factual documentation. He went on to say that any such notes simply represent "random statements" and are therefore "meaningless without some form of evidence". Furthermore, the expert advised jobseekers to keep their applications concise. This comes after Denise Taylor, author and chartered psychologist, insisted a positive mindset is crucial if people are to be successful in their search for employment. Posted by Daniel Frost
