Report: More companies looking to recruit in London London recruitment agencies look set to be busier in the coming months as firms in the capital are planning to boost their hiring activity, new research has found.

According to the latest London Business Survey conducted by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and KPMG, a growing number of companies operating in the city are now hiring new members of staff at their regular rate.

The survey - which was published yesterday (June 22nd) - offers a positive outlook for professionals searching for roles like finance jobs in London, as 57 per cent of small and medium-sized enterprises are optimistic about their prospects for the remainder of 2011.

Sara Parker, London regional director at the CBI, observed: "London is a great place to do business. Companies view the city's talent pool, ease of access to global markets and proximity to clients as the capital's biggest strengths."

This correlates with the findings of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation's JobsOutlook released earlier this month, which revealed that 64 per cent of firms expect to increase their permanent workforce in the next quarter.
