Making sure office staff in London have sufficient access to psychological support is an essential part of management in the wake of the global economic downturn.
That is the opinion of Kevin Friery, clinical director at Right Corecare, who has urged all bosses to implement plans that enable workers to discuss their emotional wellbeing as the pressure on companies grows after the recession.
Mr Friery explained that doing so may lead to increased levels of productivity within a firm as it helps people discover better ways to deal with the stresses and strains of working life.
"You need a rounded employee - you need somebody who can actually do the job but who can also psychologically cope with the pressure of being an employee," he noted.
Recently, the Chartered Management Institute revealed that 39 per cent of all workers in the UK believe stress levels in their workplace to be too high, with many blaming their bosses for this fact.
