Admin staff could find more jobs are being created, despite the slow pace of the economic recovery in the UK.The Confederation of British Industry has welcomed the release of new figures from the government showing unemployment fell to 2.45 million in the three months to May 2011. Neil Carberry, the organisation's director for employment, stated job creation was weaker in the second quarter of the year than in the first, despite the drop in those seeking work. "At the same time, the data shows that pay remains restrained and working time is shorter than normal, as employees and employers work together to weather these challenging times," he said. Mr Carberry pointed out the issue of unemployment remains a pressing long-term issue, with underlying structural problems in need of reform. Earlier this month, the Trades Union Congress released its Age and Gender: What has Changed in the Labour Market in Recent Years report, showing more older people in the UK are finding work.
