Firms could be tempted to open up jobs for office staff in London on the advice of an expert in the field.Simon Jones, research and project manager at Officebroker.com, stated that being based in the capital allows companies to be close to their clients and suppliers. London was also praised for being highly accessible due to transport links such as the Tube, while its range of airports makes it easily reachable for organisations conducting international affairs. "Prestige is another big advantage. Saying that you are based in London holds certain clout that other cities simply can't compete with," said Mr Jones. He added London has been able to recover from the recession faster than many other major cities across the world, due to it being the centre of international finance and trade. Kevin Green, chief executive of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, recently said the jobs market in the capital is showing signs of improvement. Posted by Mary King
