Female office staff in London still face challenges in the workplace when they attempt to reach the upper echelons of their organisation, an expert has said.According to Shilpa Warner, managing director at Holborn Training, women do not tend to encounter discrimination on the grounds of their gender while in lower-ranked positions within a company. "A lot of women within that middle sector don't face those challenges because they are happy with what they have got," she noted. However, Ms Warner explained this situation will usually change when an individual seeks promotion to management roles. Last week (July 27th), Friends Life published its Working Women report, which established that 55 per cent of females believe there will still be a significant gender pay gap present in the UK's employment market in 2020. But the Holborn Training official stated that a lot of females are seemingly satisfied with not progressing into senior jobs. Posted by James Strang
