Govt unveils proposals to simplify business rules Smaller London recruitment agencies are set to benefit from simplification of rules related to their accounting practices, it has emerged.

Yesterday (August 25th), it was revealed that proposals to remove some of the administration attached to financial and corporate reporting for the country's smallest companies have been put forward by the government and the Financial Reporting Council.

Within the discussion paper entitles Simpler Reporting for Smaller Businesses, it is noted that around five million micro-organisations across the country would enjoy "considerable cost savings" is they were permitted to submit simplified fiscal details.

Furthermore, the development of a new software package to aid such firms in their financial preparation has also been mooted.

Edward Davey, minister responsible for corporate governance, observed: "Reducing unnecessary regulatory burdens on the smallest businesses can give them the freedom to innovate and grow."

This comes after BDRC Continental revealed confidence among Britain's small and medium-sized enterprises has dipped in recent times.
