| Managers 'must engage staff to prevent stress' |

Managers must engage with their professionals fulfilling roles such as finance jobs in London in order to combat the issue of stress at work. That is the view of a spokesperson from the European Academy of Occupational Health Psychology (EAOHP), who believes it is essential for employers to involve their employees in the process of tackling work-based anxiety. According to the expert, this can help bosses to establish "steering groups" that can help stop conditions whereby mental unease become pronounced among workers. "Preventing and managing the factors that can lead to stress is the only sustainable way employers can alleviate worker stress," the EAOHP official noted. Earlier this month (August 18th), research by Aviva established that stress is adversely affecting the eating habits of many individuals, with 25 per cent of people indicating they only take a lunch break if their workload permits them to do so. Indeed, the specialist went on to state that "prevention is key" when it comes to managing such problems. Posted by Mary King
