Trust crucial for successful flexible working, expert says Bosses of London recruitment agencies may have to alter their management style in order to make flexible working a success within their organisation.

That is according to Bar Huberman, employment law editor at XpertHR, who believes the effectiveness of this practice could hinge on how senior officials go about improving their professional relationship with members of staff.

Ms Huberman noted that the connection between management and workers is "really key" to a mutually-beneficial homeworking system, meaning some bosses may have to adapt their methods.

"Some managers require a change in management style from micro-management to really trusting and having confidence in their employees," she added,

The expert went on to explain that having the assurance that allowing individuals to operate from home will not adversely affect their productivity is essential.

Research published last week (September 1st) by Mom Corps revealed that 42 per cent of working adults are willing to give up some percentage of their salary for more flexibility within their job.
