 An increasing number of office jobs are set to become available for professionals across a variety of sectors over the course of the next year, a new study has suggested.According to research published earlier this week (September 12th) by ECI - a private equity body established in 1976 - many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Britain remain "highly confident" about the possibility of recruiting people to in this timeframe. Despite ongoing economic uncertainty in the aftermath of the recession, some 74 per cent of the 246 chief executive officers participating in the firm's 2011 Growth Survey said they expect to increase their headcount in the coming 12 months. Meanwhile, 50 per cent of bosses believe their organisation will experience a profit hike of 16 per cent or more in the same period. Mark Prisk, minister of state for business and enterprise, observed: "Up and down the country, it is Britain's SMEs that are driving our economic recovery." Posted by James Strang
