Part time staff recruitment in London is likely to include an increased amount of "third place" working in the future. That is if comments made by Shirley Borrett, development director at the Telework Association, are anything to go by, as she believes the trend for operating between the office and home in business centres is on the rise following the recession. Last week (October 24th), a report by ZZA Responsive User Environments established there is a burgeoning demand for this type of working at present, with 48 per cent of all professionals indicating they use informal spaces for such uses. And Ms Borrett feels this will only continue to grow in the coming months as "people are realising they can work from anywhere" thanks to the offering of free wi-fi in many locations. "If your option is an unsuitable home or a long commute into an office then interim places can be quite useful," she added. Posted by Daniel Frost
