Firms 'struggling to attract top talent' Companies are finding it tough to attract top talent to fulfil positions such as finance jobs in London within their organisation, new research has shown.

According to a study conducted by human resources specialists The Curve Group, 75 per cent of firms polled are struggling to get the best people for available posts even though the UK's unemployment figures are continuing to rise.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that 62 per cent of organisations have experienced a rise in absenteeism due to stress in the last two years, just ten per cent indicated they would consider improving employee engagement through higher salaries or bonuses.

Lyndsey Simpson, co-owner of The Curve Group, commented: "Redundancies or headcount freezes put pressure on the remaining workforce, leading to increased levels of stress."

Recently, Charlie Ryan, owner of therecruitmentqueen.com, called on people searching for jobs to brush up on their interpersonal skills and manners before having interviews.
