London recruitment agencies need to recognise just how crucial social media is to the development and growth prospects of their company. That is according to Alan Biggar - chairman of All About Brands, a group of international firms dedicated to building business value for clients - who insisted the role of websites such as Facebook and Twitter has changed dramatically in recent times. Indeed, Mr Biggar explained that in the present-day professional environment, "reputations are made or broken on social media", meaning that both "corporate and brand value can certainly be damaged in very real terms". For instance, the expert noted that customers are able to give instant feedback on the product or service they receive from a company via a tweet which can then be seen globally within a matter of seconds. Recently, Edward Saatchi of NationalField indicated that social media is now taking over from email as the primary communication method in many firms. Posted by Mary King
