London recruitment agencies can develop their company in several ways through the successful use of social media in the workplace. That is the opinion of Tim Gibbon, director at communications consultancy Elemental, who believes websites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+ can all be beneficial to firms in the 21st century business environment. Mr Gibbon explained that when "managed effectively", these portals offer organisations the chance to "build a stronger rapport with customers and either create, enhance and/or support promotional activity". The expert went on to indicate that the general efficiency of a company can be increased by facilitating social media, as it can enable all departments within a business to operate "seamlessly". In addition, the websites can also reach stakeholders and customers in a more direct manner than other forms of communication, he added. Recently, Alan Biggar of All About Brands stated that a businesses' reputation is now "made or broken" on its use of social media. Posted by Mary King
