| Small businesses urged to 'go micro niche' with online marketing |

Small businesses must have a niche online marketing campaign in order to be a success, one sales expert has suggested. As search engines find thousands of competitors online, small businesses must find the most targeted audience they can find to get ahead, explained Richard White, founder of TheAccidentalSalesman.com. "It does not mean they need to [find a] micro niche for the whole business - although that is not a bad idea - just their online communication so that they can be heard through all the noise," he remarked. The expert added that sales employees, such as those found through London recruitment agencies, must conduct basic sales and marketing groundwork in order for an online marketing strategy to work and avoid looking like other businesses in the same industry. His comments come after Riaz Kanani, marketing director at Alchemy Worx, suggested that email drives more traffic online and offline than other online marketing channels. Posted by Daniel Frost
