Business showing real signs of exiting the doldrums
With the new financial year in full swing, there appears to be small but significant signs that the British economy is improving. House prices are not falling anywhere near as sharply as they were pre-Christmas, the services sector, which accounts for nearly two-thirds of the economy, rose strongly in April and consumer confidence increased at its fastest rate for two years as people felt more optimistic about the future of the economy.
At Forties People, we are certainly feeling the benefits of an upturn in fortunes. We are placing more qualified candidates month-on-month, and we are beginning to hear from more and more employers who see now as the perfect time to grow their businesses and make the right additions to their workforce.
