According to a new study from the charity Age Concern, almost 80 percent of men aged 55 or over, go online to search for information or to pursue their hobbies. However, 86 percent of women in the same age category prefer to use the Net to communicate with close friends and family. Of those seniors who have gone online, two-thirds believe that the Internet has had a positive impact on their lives. But the majority of UK seniors have never used the Internet and two-thirds of them said they had no intention of every doing so. |
