We're all going on a summer
holiday
|
The summer holiday season is looming and your employees will be
booking time off, so now's the time to plan for temp cover. Let us know
your expected requirements and we'll give you a shortlist of suitable
candidates. Meanwhile, here's a top tip:
Plan ahead
The more notice you can give us, the
better job we can do for you. If you have several secretaries all booking
holiday at different times, we may be able to find one temp to cover for
all of them, which will provide some continuity for you.

Improve your interviewing skills
|
We only put forward the candidates we consider most suitable for
your vacancy, but their performance during the interview is key. Here are
some of the things you can do to help the interview process go smoothly.
In
advance
- Prepare an interview guide with space to take note of relevant
information
- Put the candidates at ease by greeting them and escorting them to
the interview location
- Don't judge on first impressions, evaluate their capabilities and
potential before you make any judgement
To find out what to do during the interview and afterwards, read
our Effective Interview Skills Checklist

Pamela Sinclair works in both our Watford and City branches.
She's been with Forties People since April 2004, in the recruitment
industry for 30 years, and has experience working as an Area Manager
for a large High Street agency in the City and West End.
"I came
down from Leeds having worked in administration and secretarial.
Knowing that a recruitment agency requires great people skills, I
knew this would be the position for me!" she explains.
Pamela
carried on working part-time when she had her three children, now
aged 18 (twins) and 16. Outside work, she has "a busy social life
and a large circle of friends". She also loves to travel, especially
to her overseas apartment that she visits as regularly as she
can.
|
She loves the variety of people she meets at
Forties People, and says: "It's most rewarding to place someone
where they want to be, to recognise their potential, to find the
right fit for them, and make them feel wonderful."
